About Anna University:

Anna University is one of the premier technical universities in India. It was established in 1978 and is located in Chennai, Tamil-Nadu. There are a lot of competitions faced by students to get admitted in this university. It also allows students from different countries and religions to get into it. Presently, Vice-Chancellor of this reputable university is Mr. M. Rajaram. All the well established and renowned colleges are affiliated by this university. Around 250 engineering colleges are under this institution. The bubhopal application form is fully equipped with all the technological advancements that are all the latest techniques and equipment are made available to students so that they can give their best. All the latest facilities is not only limited to students, these are also provided to faculties. Moreover there are also training sessions for the students as well as for faculties so that they always stay updated with the world.

Campus:

It has a huge campus of around 110 acres in Chennai. It includes College of Engineering, Guindy, Alagappa College of Technology, and School of Architecture and Planning. This university got split in six universities in the year 2007. Following are the campus locations: • Anna University, Chennai • Chennai • Tiruchirappalli • Coimbatore • Tirunelveli • Madurai But in 2012 a bill came from the government which again merged all the universities into a single university that is in Chennai.

Admission Procedure: From past many years, it is conducting Common Entrance Test in the name of the Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examination (TNPCEE) for taking admission in professional courses in the state but it was eliminated in the year 2006. In 2007, students were admitted to engineering colleges on the basis of their Higher/Senior secondary marks.

Achievements: Most remarkable achievement by this university is ANUSAT. ANUSAT is basically micro satellite designed by an Indian student and it also the first satellite which designed and operated in India other than Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Audio-Video lecture programs are broadcast through Ku Band and it also helps to conduct free examinations in all its associated colleges.
